TECHNOLOGY AT THE LIBRARY

Computers and WiFi

Public computers are available for 60 minute sessions on a first come, first served basis. Sessions may be extended if no one is waiting.

Free, public wifi is provided by WCCLS 24/7, 365 days a year. It is accessible in the library and directly outside a short distance. Terms of Use.

Garden Home and West Slope Community Libraries do not have study rooms. Each library has a few tables with outlets nearby to use for work or study. If you are looking for a study room to reserve, many of the larger libraries in our cooperative have spaces which may suit your needs.

Be aware that the library is a bustling, active and sometimes noisy place. Please plan accordingly.

Printing

Garden Home and West Slope Community Libraries each have a small, non-commercial printer for public use, no library card necessary.

Please keep the following in mind:

  • There is a 50-page maximum on printer/copier use.

  • We can print in black-and-white only.

  • We do not allow the use of outside paper.

  • Suggested donation is 10¢ per page, payable via cash or card reader at the desk.

  • We do not have a fax machine. For nearby public libraries that offer this service, try Tigard Public Library or any Multnomah County Library.

print OPTIONS:

To print from any of our public computers, you may log in with your library card or ask at the desk for a “guest pass.” Be sure to select “Public Printer” before printing.

To print from your own device, visit print.princh.com. Enter the library’s printer ID (this is indicated on the printer). Follow directions to upload your file & adjust print settings. Notify library staff to release your print job.

To print via email, send your document to GHLprinting-bw@ewprints.com (for Garden Home) or WSLPrinting-bw@ewprints.com (for West Slope). Notify library staff to release your print job.

SCANNING & COPYING:

Currently, only Garden Home offers scanning & copying services. The same 50-page limit and suggested donation amount applies to copies.
