Dungeon Mastery 101 for Teens (series) West Slope Community Library Wednesday, June 24 10:30am-12:00pm This Summer level up your Dungeons & Dragons game by becoming a Dungeon Master! Every D&D game needs one player to take charge and create a world full of quests, monsters, treasure and adventure; maybe you’d like to BE that player… Learn the basics of D&D and how to run your own campaign for your friends with an experienced DM. We’ll discuss basic principles of running a game, how to run a session 0 to lay the groundwork, creating a party of adventurers, how to prep for a session- and what to do when your players run in a completely different direction than you expected! No prior experience is needed- whether you’ve never played before and want to learn how to start your own game, or you’re a player who wants to try being a Dungeon Master, or even if you’ve done some DMing and just want to sharpen your skills with input from new players, all are welcome. This program will cover 5-6 sessions over the Summer (depending on the number of participants) to give everyone a chance to run an adventure for the others and experience Dungeon Mastery from behind the DM screen. Space is necessarily limited, so registration is required. (The same series for adults will begin in July)
