Dungeon Mastery 101 for Adults (series) West Slope Community Library Saturday, July 18 2:00-5:00pm This Summer level up your Dungeons & Dragons game by becoming a Dungeon Master! Every D&D game needs one player to take charge and create a world full of quests, monsters, treasure and adventure; maybe you’d like to BE that player… Learn the basics of D&D and how to run your own campaign for your friends with an experienced DM. We’ll discuss basic principles of running a game, how to run a session 0 to lay the groundwork, creating a party of adventurers, how to prep for a session- and what to do when your players run in a completely different direction than you expected! No prior experience is needed- whether you’ve never played before and want to learn how to start your own game, or you’re a player who wants to try being a Dungeon Master, or even if you’ve done some DMing and just want to sharpen your skills with input from new players, all are welcome. This program will cover 5-6 sessions over the Summer (depending on the number of participants) to give everyone a chance to run an adventure for the others and experience Dungeon Mastery from behind the DM screen. Space is necessarily limited, so registration is required.
