This is a monthly recurring “third places” program meant to connect local individuals & families with each other to make social connections and build community resilience.

The Garden Home Community Library Association will be holding its annual meeting for all members on Monday, April 20th from 6:45 - 8:00pm at West Slope Community Library. Any level of donation to the Garden Home & West Slope Community Libraries makes you an official member of the organization. Come meet the library's board members, vote on leadership officers, get to know more about what is happening at your local libraries, and celebrate the year's successes. Take & Make Craft Kits

Express yourself and embrace your indie roots! This April, our Take & Make kits include materials to create your own zine. A zine (short for magazine) can be bound, stapled, or folded and might include printed or written text, photos, drawings, collages, and so much more! Register for a kit at West Slope Community Library starting April 1st or come in for first-come, first-served kits at both libraries while supplies last. This kit is generously sponsored by the Cultural Coalition of Washington County and the Oregon Cultural Trust.

Tree Walk with Treekeepers of Washington County

Saturday, April 11

10:00-11:15am

Walk along the Fanno Creek Trail, while identifying and learning about trees on this informational walk with two leaders from Treekeepers of Washington County. Open to all ages but participants must be able to walk about 2 miles. We will gather at 9:45 am and the walk will start promptly at 10 am. Registration required.

Gather with community to make crafts, play games, and pick out a free book to take home and keep!

All ages are welcome at this free event.

Drop-In Art: Salty Watercolor Clouds

West Slope Community Library

Wednesday, April 1

3:00-5:00pm

Every first Wednesday of the month from 3-5pm, drop-in to West Slope Community Library to pick out some new books and make art together. This month, learn about the cool ways that salt changes your painting as we make some rain clouds with watercolor! Program is come and go. We provide the materials and the clean up! No registration required.

Come on in for some Board Gaming at the library and try out some amazing games or bring your own to share! Fun for board game enthusiasts or completely new players!
